Open Arms Food Pantry
is located in the basement of the
church. Although it is rather small in
size, it is large in giving out food,
fellowship and faith. Over the past
year, the pantry grew from 30 families
monthly to 50 families with a total
count of over 250 individuals getting
food! Our Pantry committee is a
friendly group of volunteers who
give their time and service to God.
Our monthly donations come from Midwest Food Bank, Good Samaritan, Hamilton Harvest Food Bank, Third Phase and Angel's Attic. The congregation also donates requested items monthly.
Clients may pick up canned goods, juices, boxed items, toiletries, meat and produce when available. They are allowed to visit the pantry once a month. Everyone is welcome from White River Township and Jackson Township. Referrals are accepted from the trustees as well. If you live in this area and are in need of food, please contact us.
Clients are allowed one visit each month. Our Pantry is open every third Monday from 4:00 to 5:30pm, except Holidays. We do have a Nursery and Play Room if needed. Usually a pot of coffee is on, and refreshments on occasion. We like to visit with you and get to know you. We are able to provide referrals to other facilities and answer questions regarding assistance other than food.
When you leave the Pantry, we hope you made a friend and felt at home. Remember: God is Good, all the Time. All the Time, God is Good.
